Boys Lacrosse Team!

The Bay School of San Francisco is excited to announce the start of a varsity boys lacrosse program for the 2011-2012 academic year. Eric Krieger, Assistant Director of Admission, will be the Head Coach, and Bay’s lacrosse team will compete in the Bay Counties League (BCL) – West.

Eric graduated in 2004 from Middlebury College, where he was the starting goalie for four years. He still holds the record for most minutes played in NCAA Division III lacrosse. At Middlebury, Eric was a member of two National Championship teams (2001 and 2002) and was a two-time All-American. He was named as Goalie of the Year in 2004.

Following graduation, Eric helped start a club program in Jackson Hole, WY. In addition, he has coached at the middle school and high school levels in Colorado and in England. At Bay, Eric has led Outing Club trips and serves as a student advisor, in addition to his work in our Admission program.

To prospective students interested in lacrosse, Eric says:

“Playing the sport of lacrosse has had such a profound impact on my life. The friends I’ve made throughout high school and college, the coaches I’ve played for, and the community that I’ve been involved in has provided me with wonderful experiences. I’ve learned so much and have had a ton of fun as a player and coach, and I look forward to sharing my experiences, leadership style and competitiveness with the great students we have at Bay. I feel fortunate to start this program from the ground-up and be a part of the inaugural lacrosse season here at The Bay School”
